The Tourney

avatar4321 on Mar-21-2008

So its March Madness. I’ve never been a big basketball fan but ive been filling out charts the last few years. quite frankly ive never been good at it. Seriously, I suck.

If i pick the winners, they have upsets. If i pick the losers they are crushed. Quite frankly I should just pick the people i dont think would win. but that would mean they wouldnt win. There is no hope for me.

And I just want to see my Alma Mater get past the first one at least one year. Seesh. One round! Is that too much to ask. We cant even beat the team seeded lower than us when we are in there. What the heck is up with that? Some Cougars they are. Oh well maybe next year. But I am always disappointed with my teams. Sports victories arent in my teams future. but im still loyal to a fault.

Mike Tomlin

jimnyc on Jan-23-2007

Mike Tomlin, former defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings, has been signed to a 4 year deal to be the new head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. As a huge fan of the Steelers, I’m still a bit unsure of this decision. I was really rooting for Ken Whisenhunt (signed with Cardinals) or Russ Grim, but they did with Tomlin just as they did with Bill Cowher, sign a basic unheard of defensive coordinator at the age of 34. Let’s hope that Tomlin does as well.

Chicago Bears Vs. Indianapolis Colts

jimnyc on Jan-22-2007

Got the game that I picked, not that it was awfully hard. I think this is going to be a great game. Of course it could be lopsided either way but if both teams come to play it could be great. If Indy’s D plays like they did 2 weeks ago, and Peyton is on, they’ll be right in it. Chicago’s D will always be there, it all comes down to whether Rex can handle the big game or not. In my opinion, the games rests squarely on his shoulders. They have a tremendous RB but he’s going to be stuffed all day if Rex can’t go downfield. See inside for my pick!

Super Bowl XLI

So we’re down to 4.

New Orleans Vs. Chicago & New England Vs. Indianapolis

Personally, I couldn’t care less who wins, although I’ll be rooting for Peyton Manning and Co. to get their rings this year. I just don’t want to see Peyton end up like Marino, with a billion accolades and no ring to show for it.

I think Chicago ends NO’s cinderella season and Indy breaks the hex by NE and Brady.
